Privacy Policy

Who we are

This policy explains how Softwares Tech, a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, India (“we”, “us”), collects and uses personal data when you visit www.softwarestech.com, fill in one of our forms, or contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or social media.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the “data fiduciary” for this data. Our contact details are at the end of this page.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Through our contact form and enquiry pop-up: your name, email address, phone number, project message and, if you choose to add them, your budget range and company name.
• Anything you send us by email, phone, WhatsApp, or through our Facebook, Instagram, Threads or LinkedIn pages — such as your name, profile name and the content of your message.
• If you become a client: the information needed to run the project, such as contact details of your team, billing details and project files you share with us.

Information collected automatically

• When you submit a form, we record your IP address, your browser and device type (user agent), which form you used and the date and time. We use this to stop spam and abuse.
• Like most websites, our web server keeps standard technical logs (for example IP address, page requested and time) for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't collect: we don't use advertising trackers, and we don't currently run third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics on this website.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call if you ask for one.
• To prepare a proposal and, if you hire us, to deliver and support the work.
• To keep our forms and website secure — for example limiting repeated submissions and blocking spam.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations for client work.

We don't send marketing emails or newsletters. We only contact you about the enquiry or project you started. We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.

We process your data on the basis of your consent — given when you submit a form or message us — and, for clients, to carry out our agreement with you. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”).

Cookies & browser storage

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. We use a small amount of storage in your own browser so the site works the way you left it:

• theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode.
• st_popup_submitted and st_popup_closed_at — remember that you already filled in or closed our enquiry pop-up, so we don't show it again too soon.
• A service worker may cache site files (like images and fonts) on your device so pages load faster on your next visit.

This information stays in your browser and isn't sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with services we need to run the website and talk to you, and only as much as they need:

• Our hosting provider — the servers that run this website and store enquiries in our database.
• Google — we send and receive email through Google's email service, so enquiry details are delivered to our inbox through it. On our separate enquiry page at /lead-system/, Google reCAPTCHA is used to check for spam; the main website forms use our own simple maths check instead.
• Calendly — if you choose to book a call, you do so on Calendly's site and their privacy policy applies.
• Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Threads) and LinkedIn — if you contact us on these platforms, they process your messages under their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid request from a court or government authority.

Some of these providers may store or process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on their published security and privacy commitments.

Social media & messaging

When you message, comment on, or interact with our pages on Facebook, Instagram, Threads or LinkedIn, or contact us on WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, profile name and the content of your message.

• We use it only to reply to you and to discuss the services you asked about.
• We don't sell it or use it to message you about unrelated topics.
• These platforms' own privacy policies also apply to your use of them.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above:

• Enquiries: for as long as needed to respond and follow up on your enquiry.
• Client projects: for the length of the engagement and afterwards for as long as legal, tax or accounting rules require.
• Anti-spam records (such as how many times a form was submitted): short-lived and replaced automatically.

When data is no longer needed — or when you ask us to delete it — we delete it.

How we protect it

• The website is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit.
• Enquiries are stored in a database that isn't publicly accessible, and our admin area is password-protected.
• Configuration files and enquiry backups on our server are blocked from public access.
• Only the people who need enquiry details to reply to you can see them.

No method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security — but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and, depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR — you can:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
• Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
• Raise a complaint with us (see “Contact & grievances”), and if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, email sales@softwarestech.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on the request.

How to request deletion

You can ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you, including data shared through our website forms, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or Threads:

Children

Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we'll delete them.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page if the way we handle data changes — for example if we start using a new tool. The “Last updated” date at the top always shows the latest version.
