Project Overview
MediVance was built for a hospital group running on fragmented software — appointment software here, billing there, lab results via email, prescriptions on paper. Every handoff between systems was a failure point, and administrators had zero real-time visibility into operations.
We designed and built a unified platform with three role-gated portals (Patient, Doctor, Admin), nine production modules, AI-powered symptom triage, WebRTC telemedicine, integrated pharmacy, Razorpay + Stripe billing, and a full audit-log system. HIPAA compliance was built into the architecture from day one — not added on later.
Delivered in a 20-week engagement: from clinical workflow discovery and HIPAA architecture design through to nine module sprints, AI integration, penetration testing, and production launch with hypercare support.
Patient Journey
Six departments. Zero paper handoffs. Every touchpoint recorded, synced, and available in real-time — for the patient, the doctor, and the administrator simultaneously.
The Problem We Solved

Transformation
The AI symptom triage engine uses OpenAI NLP to analyse patient-submitted symptoms in natural language, cross-reference with clinical protocols, and route to one of 12 specialties — before the patient reaches reception.
Patients join from the patient portal; doctors see the full EHR alongside the video call. Prescriptions are written and sent to the pharmacy module without leaving the consultation screen. All sessions are recorded with patient consent, stored encrypted on AWS S3.
Every architectural decision in MediVance — from the database schema to the API layer — was made with HIPAA compliance and PHI protection as hard constraints, not afterthoughts. AES-256 encryption everywhere. Role-gated data access at every endpoint. Tamper-proof audit logs that can never be deleted.
